SERVICE AND BILL AUDITING


    There is only one way to account for what telecommunications services are being utilized;
    that is through a comprehensive, enterprise wide audit of all the carriers' bills. There is good
    reason why this task is often ignored by even well staffed telecommunications departments.
    It is a very complex and tedious process that requires specific knowledge and experience to
    conduct effectively. We have been auditing bills for nearly 20 years at Windfall Associates and some of
    us have had nearly 30 years experience in this area.

    We meticulously determine what our clients are paying for, what they are using, and what they
    are not. We will identify  how each service is currently being utilized and either validate its
    continued use or present alternatives for optimization.

    We will document and negotiate credits/refunds for any carrier billing errors that we find.
    We work with our client's staff to align carrier billing with internal allocation procedures.
    Since we are not compensated on a contingency basis, we will go far beyond looking for the
    "big hits". Our objectives are to thoroughly dissect, document, and optimize services.
    Streamlining the bill verification and allocation process is an added benefit associated with
    our involvement.

    An important output from the audit process is the creation of a usage profile measuring the
    aggregate usage by each call type/category. This usage profile is incorporated into a Request
    For Proposal (RFP) which is distributed to qualified carriers/providers. We will act as the point
    of contact for all RFP  issues, compile and summarize the carrier responses, assist with the
    evaluation and selection process and finally, assist with contract negotiations.
